Arriving

Directions

Rad Myco will be held at Brown Bottle Farm in Mulino, Oregon. Brown Bottle Farm is located just a short drive away from Portland and Salem, making your trip a breeze. Below are the best options for arriving, though be sure to buy your ticket in advance as tickets will not be sold on site.

By Car / Rideshare

Brown Bottle Farm is a 20–40 minute drive from central Portland, depending on traffic. The farm address is easy to locate on Google maps and GPS service is accessible during the entire drive for most cel phone plans.
All cars planning to park on site will need to purchase a Parking Pass in advance of their arrival as none will be sold on site. All Full Pass registrants will receive access to a free online rideshare board to help coordinate carpooling.

By Plane

The Portland International Airport (PDX) is approximately 30 miles north of Mulino and is the best option for most people traveling by plane. From there you can rent a car or use Uber or Lyft to find a driver to take you to the farm.

By Train or Bus

Portland is a stop for several Amtrak and Greyhound lines. Both stations are located in downtown Portland where you can rent a car, or hire an Uber or Lyft driver to get you to the farm.

By Bike

Mulino is a fairly straight shot down highway 213 from the city of Clackamas. Some areas of the road are not well marked for bicyclists, while other areas have limited shoulder space. Safety-conscious daytime riders are likely to have limited hassle, though caution is advised.

Health & Safety

Health & Safety

Drug, Alcohol, Fire, Firearms, and Fireworks Policy

Rad Myco is a drug-, personal fire-, firearm-, and firework-free event. Alcohol will be served on site to 21+ attendees with valid identification. We ask that people drink responsibly and to keep the drinking family friendly and appropriate. Cigarette smoking is allowed in designated smoking areas only. Anyone deemed by Rad Myco staff to be overly intoxicated, in possession of firearms or fireworks, or at risk of impacting the success of Rad Myco due to substance use may be asked to leave without a refund.

Safer Space Statement

To create a healthy environment for learning and building a welcoming community at Rad Myco, behavior that demeans, marginalizes, or threatens people because of personal characteristics that harm no one (e.g. age, gender, ethnicity, religion, mental health status, race, culture, sexual orientation, general appearance, income level, living situation, experience in social or mycological work, or being a parent or a child) will not be tolerated. Anyone deemed by Rad Myco staff to be intentionally breaking this code of respectful conduct may be asked to leave without a refund.

Disagreement Navigation

As the topics covered at Rad Myco can challenge common assumptions about mycology, some attendees may disagree with a presenter’s opinion or lecture. In such cases, we encourage consensual and respectful discussion between the parties. If the discussion is likely to be lengthy, we ask that it be held after the presentation ends, so that other attendees can learn from the presenter. Presenters are not required to engage in debate or discussion about their presentation. Attendees non-consensually confronting or engaging in debate with any attendee, presenter, or staff member may be asked to leave.

The opinions of presenters and performers do not necessarily reflect those of Rad Myco or Rad Myco staff. Rad Myco staff will not provide mediation for disagreements. If an attendee is unsatisfied with the information or opinions provided by a presenter, we welcome feedback via email at spores@radmyco.com or at the feedback station at the Hyphal Tip.
